How do I manage team members and permissions?

Team management is easy:

  • Admin: Has access to the dashboard to configure groups, add/remove users, upload documents, and manage settings. Only admins can access the ChatGridAI dashboard
  • Users: Simply install the ChatGridAI bot in Google Chat™ or Microsoft Teams™ and start asking questions. No dashboard access needed - they just use the AI directly in their chat platform
  • Groups: Admins organize users by team or department. Each group can have different AI instructions, knowledge bases, and document access
  • Domain-based Security: Only verified users from your organization's domain can use the AI. Admins control who gets added to which groups

Admins manage everything from the dashboard. Users just chat with the AI - no setup required on their end.

What happens if I exceed my OpenAI usage limits?

OpenAI usage is managed directly through your OpenAI account:

  • ChatGridAI uses your OpenAI API key to process requests
  • All usage and costs appear directly in your OpenAI billing dashboard
  • If you hit OpenAI rate limits or usage caps, ChatGridAI will temporarily stop responding until limits reset
  • You can increase your OpenAI limits in your OpenAI account settings or wait for the automatic monthly reset
  • You have full control - set spending limits in OpenAI to prevent unexpected charges
